Wayne just finished his 2 day of radiation. So far minimal side effects. Here is a story I would like to share, this is from a very wise woman in my bible study. She has been a very instrumental part of my faith and her pursuit of God never ceases to amaze me.
Last Friday we took a break from painting and cleaning my mother's
house. It was her wish for her 80th birthday to have her bathrooms
and bedrooms painted, and her "stuff" organized. We were working
hard, but all five of us gathered in the living room to pray for her
brother who is in the hospital. I asked everyone if we could also
pray for a friend of mine and her husband with a brain tumor. Several
prayed, but they prayed for "Kimbra's friend" or "her husband." After
we finished praying my mom asked, "What are their names?" I said,
"Wayne and Heather." At that point my mom got very teary eyed and
told us she had been praying for a "Wayne." The Lord had told her to
pray for "Wayne." She had been obediently praying that week, not
knowing who he was and if she would ever know. In this case, she now
knows who she is praying for and will continue to pray.
We have the most amazing Lord, who calls us to prayer. For Wayne, the
Lord placed him upon the heart of an 80 year old prayer warrior. God
will accomplish His will in Wayne's life. Thank you Lord.
